17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This evocative photograph captures the interior view of the historic Church of St. Mary the Virgin in Eversley, Hampshire, England, where the renowned English writer and clergyman, Charles Kingsley, once served as a vicar from 1856 until his death in 1875. The image transports us back in time, offering a glimpse into the past and the religious and cultural heritage of the 19th century. The church's nave is filled with neatly arranged pews, each one bearing the marks of countless worshippers who have attended services over the centuries. The pulpit, positioned at the front of the nave, stands as a symbol of the sermons and teachings delivered by Kingsley to his congregation. The choir stalls, located to the right of the pulpit, are adorned with intricate carvings and serve as a reminder of the church's rich musical history. A beautiful wooden screen, separating the nave from the chancel, adds an air of grandeur and solemnity to the space. The chancel, which is not visible in this photograph, is where the altar and the choir would have been located. The simple yet elegant curtain, hanging at the back of the chancel, adds a touch of softness and intimacy to the otherwise stark interior. Charles Kingsley, a prolific writer and social reformer, was a man of many talents. He is best known for his novels, including "The Water-Babies," which was a children's classic, and "The Heroes," which explored the history of the Anglo-Saxons. However, his role as a clergyman was equally significant, and his sermons and writings on religion and morality continue to inspire and influence people to this day. This photograph is a testament to the enduring beauty and significance of the Church of St. Mary the Virgin in Eversley and the legacy of Charles Kingsley, who once called it his spiritual home.
