17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

This evocative photograph captures the essence of the Royal Army Medical Corps (RAMC) in the early 20th century. Established in 1897, the RAMC is the oldest military medical corps in the world, with a rich history that spans over a century. In this image, a group of RAMC officers and men are seen dressed in their formal uniforms, standing proudly in front of a grand building. The century-old image transports us back in time, offering a glimpse into the history of military medicine during the British Army's formative years. The Royal Army Medical Corps played a crucial role in the military during the 20th century, providing medical care and support to soldiers on the battlefield. From the Boer War to the Second World War, the corps played a vital role in the treatment and care of wounded soldiers. The uniforms worn by the men in this photograph reflect the dignity and professionalism of the medical personnel who served in the corps. The ornate detailing on the uniforms, from the brass buttons to the intricate embroidery, is a testament to the pride and dedication of the RAMC personnel. The officers, distinguished by their peaked caps and sashes, stand tall and proud, while the enlisted men, with their brass helmets and belts, exude a sense of discipline and readiness. This photograph is not only a historical record of the RAMC's rich history but also a reminder of the sacrifices made by the medical personnel who served in the corps.
