FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This evocative photograph captures the moment of determination and resolve as members of the 5th Infantry Brigade (Guards and Gurkhas) disembark from a small jetty to reinforce the bridgehead at San Carlos, Falkland Islands, during the South Atlantic Conflict of 1982. With around 3000 men on board, the brigade, under the command of Major General Jeremy Moore RM, was a formidable force. Comprised of the 1st Battalion, 7th Duke of Edinburgh's Own Gurkha Rifles, 1st Battalion, The Welsh Guards, 2nd Battalion, The Scots Guards, and support units including 97 Battery, 4 Field Regiment, Royal Artillery and 36 Engineer Regiment, Royal Engineers, the brigade was a diverse and capable fighting force. The soldiers in this image, dressed in their combat gear and carrying their weapons, are focused on the task at hand, their faces etched with a mixture of anticipation and resolve. The small jetty, surrounded by the turquoise waters of the Falkland Islands, serves as a stark reminder of the vast expanse of water they had crossed to reach their destination.
