FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This print showcases a mesmerizing scene from Ben Jonson's "The Masque of Queens" brought to life by the talented Swiss artist Henry Fuseli. Painted in 1785, this oil on canvas masterpiece captures the essence of witchcraft and enchantment. In the center of the composition, a circle is formed by a group of mysterious women dressed as witches. Their dark attire contrasts with their pale skin, creating an eerie atmosphere that sends shivers down your spine. Each woman possesses unique features and expressions, adding depth to their characters. One particular witch stands out as she leans forward, her bird-like wings extending behind her back. Her hat adds an element of theatricality to the scene, hinting at a performance or ritual taking place on stage. The gray color palette chosen by Fuseli enhances the otherworldly nature of these supernatural beings. Fuseli's attention to detail is evident in every brushstroke; he masterfully captures each figure's posture and gestures with precision and skill. This print transports you into a world where magic reigns supreme and witches hold sway over human affairs. As you gaze upon this remarkable artwork, you can almost hear whispers carried by the wind and feel goosebumps rise on your skin. It serves as a testament to both Jonson's timeless playwriting and Fuseli's ability to bring fantastical scenes vividly to life through his artistry.
