23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This print titled "Glaris Glarus Switzerland September 2,1781" by Artokoloro takes us back in time to the picturesque landscapes of Switzerland. The artist, Francis Towne, a British native from Isleworth, Middlesex, showcases his incredible talent through this pen and black ink drawing with brush and gray wash traces on white laid paper. Towne's journey began in Exeter before he embarked on a year-long adventure in Italy. Upon returning to England, he couldn't resist capturing the beauty of the Swiss Alps during his travels. In this particular piece, we are transported to Glaris Glarus - a capital city nestled within the mountainous eastern canton of Switzerland. The steep tree-lined slope depicted here perfectly captures the essence of this enchanting location. Through his skillful use of pencil and graphite, Towne effortlessly brings out the essential qualities of this site: its grandeur and serenity. Measuring at 18 3/8 x 11 3/16 inches (466 x 284 cm), this drawing is part of Towne's large sketchbook format that allowed him to draw outdoors and move rapidly between scenes. It serves as a testament to both his artistic prowess and his ability to capture nature's beauty with precision. Artokoloro has done an exceptional job preserving this remarkable piece from their Liszt Collection. This print not only transports us back in time but also reminds us of the timeless allure found within nature's embrace
