17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This print by Jason Friend showcases the serene beauty of the Stourbridge Canal in England's West Midlands. The image captures a row of narrowboats moored at Delph Marine, affectionately known as the boat yard, near the historic Delph Nine Locks in Brierley Hill. Set against the backdrop of the industrial Black Country, this scene offers a fascinating juxtaposition between nature and urbanization. The reflection on the calm waters perfectly mirrors both the peaceful atmosphere and environmental challenges faced by this region. While pollution may be evident in some areas, it does not overshadow the heritage and charm that emanates from these waterways. The canal serves as an important transport route and symbolizes British history and industry. In this photograph, one can't help but appreciate how these humble boats coexist with nearby council flats, creating a unique sense of community within their surroundings. As winter sets in, there is an undeniable sense of tranquility amidst this bustling area. Jason Friend's photography beautifully captures not only picturesque landscapes but also tells stories about our environment and society. This particular image invites viewers to reflect upon both poverty and housing issues while appreciating Britain's rich cultural heritage. It serves as a reminder that even amidst industrialization, moments of peace can still be found along our waterways.
