23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
At a West Jutland Brickworks, Grey Weather, 1891" is an evocative oil painting by Danish artist Niels Bjerre, capturing the rural landscape and industrial spirit of 19th century Jutland, Denmark. The painting depicts a brickworks nestled in the countryside, with grey clouds looming overhead and a thatched roof building in the foreground. The brickworks, with its red-brown bricks and tall chimney, stands as a symbol of industry and progress in the otherwise rustic and rural setting. Bjerre masterfully employs a muted color palette, with the grey clouds and overcast sky dominating the composition. The use of oil paint adds depth and texture to the painting, bringing the rough brick walls and thatched roof to life. The artist's attention to detail is evident in the intricate rendering of the brickwork and the subtle reflections of the clouds in the puddles on the ground. This painting is a prime example of Danish regionalism, a movement that celebrated the unique character and beauty of rural life in Denmark. It is also a testament to the artistic heritage of Denmark, which has produced many renowned painters throughout history. The painting is now part of the collection of Statens Museum for Kunst (The National Gallery of Denmark), a prestigious art institution that preserves and showcases Danish art for the world to enjoy. The painting invites viewers to imagine the sights, sounds, and smells of a West Jutland brickworks in the grey weather of 1891, offering a glimpse into the past and a reminder of the rich cultural heritage of Denmark.
