23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
Wagon Passing Group of Houses Beside Stream" is a captivating pen and ink drawing by the 19th century British artist James Robertson. This exquisite work of art transports us to the picturesque countryside of England, where a winding river meanders through the landscape, framed by the elegant silhouettes of quaint houses and the towering trees that line its banks. The scene unfolds on a crisp autumn day, as a horse-drawn wagon makes its way across a rickety wooden bridge, its passengers peering out at the idyllic scenery before them. The gentle hum of activity is palpable in the background, as people go about their daily routines, tending to their gardens, or engaging in conversation with neighbors. Robertson's masterful use of pen and brown ink, as well as brush and brown wash over graphite on cream wove paper, brings the rich textures of the landscape to life. The intricate details of the houses, with their thatched roofs and chimneys, are rendered with a meticulousness that speaks to the artist's dedication to capturing the essence of a bygone era. The estuary in the distance adds a sense of depth and geographical context to the image, while the trees, with their vibrant autumn hues, provide a striking contrast to the muted sepia tones of the drawing. This evocative work of art invites us to pause and reflect on the simple pleasures of rural life, and the enduring beauty of the natural world. A true masterpiece of heritage art, "Wagon Passing Group of Houses Beside Stream" is a must-see addition to any art collection or gallery, offering a glimpse into the past and a reminder of the timeless allure of the English countryside.
