17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
The Parable of the Good Shepherd, created by Philip Galle in 1565, is a captivating print that transports viewers to the 16th century. This Flemish engraving depicts a scene from Christian scripture, illustrating Jesus as the compassionate shepherd who carries a lost sheep on his shoulders. In this thought-provoking image, Galle skillfully captures the essence of Christ's teachings through visual storytelling. The central figure of Jesus stands out against a backdrop of rustic cottages and buildings in Flanders. His serene expression radiates empathy and love as he cradles the vulnerable animal with care. Galle's meticulous attention to detail adds depth to this powerful composition. Each line etched into the print conveys emotion and symbolism; every stroke contributes to an overall sense of harmony between man and nature. This artwork invites contemplation on themes such as redemption, forgiveness, and salvation. It serves as a reminder that even amidst darkness or wrongdoing represented by burglary or crime depicted subtly in the background - there is always hope for restoration through faith. As we gaze upon this timeless masterpiece preserved within museum walls, we are reminded of our shared humanity and our capacity for compassion towards one another. The Parable of the Good Shepherd continues to inspire generations with its universal message: no matter how lost we may feel at times, there is always someone willing to carry us back into safety with unwavering love.
