31"x27" (79x69cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 24x20 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 31x27 inches (787x685mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This black and white lithograph, titled "Interior of Crosby Hall, 1902" takes us back in time to the grandeur of early 20th century London. The artist, Thomas Robert Way, skillfully captures the essence of this historic British architectural gem. Crosby Hall, located on Cheyne Walk in Chelsea, is a listed Grade II building that once served as a royal residence. Its vaulted ceilings and stained glass windows are beautifully showcased in this monochrome print. The image transports us into the heart of the hall's interior with its darkened ambiance illuminated by a magnificent chandelier. The attention to detail is remarkable; every architectural feature is meticulously rendered by Way's hand. From the intricately designed ceiling to the ornate window frames, each element adds to the overall concept of opulence and elegance. Published in John Lane's book "Ancient Royal Palaces in and Near London" in 1902, this lithograph offers a glimpse into an era long gone but not forgotten. It serves as a testament to Britain's rich history and cultural heritage. As we admire this print from The Print Collector collection, we can't help but be transported back to a time when Crosby Hall was at its prime – an exquisite example of British architecture nestled within one of London's most prestigious neighborhoods.
