17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
Entrance to Enoshima in Sagami Province," a captivating woodblock print from the renowned series "Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji" by Ando Hiroshige, showcases the picturesque entrance to Enoshima Island in the Sagami Province of Japan during the Edo period. The print, created in 1858, is a stunning example of Ando Hiroshige's mastery of color woodblock printing. The scene unfolds with a serene coastal landscape, where the entrance to Enoshima Island is framed by a grand archway, adorned with the iconic Fousi Yama (Fuji Five Peaks) and the name "Enoshima" in elegant calligraphy. The entrance gate is flanked by two men, one in a grey robe and the other in a red and white attire, adding a sense of scale and depth to the composition. The background is filled with a vibrant array of colors, from the deep blue sea to the lush greenery of the mountains in the distance. The print also features a child and several other figures, adding a touch of human interest and activity to the scene. The cartouche at the bottom left of the print bears the title "Enoshima in Sagami Province," as well as the artist's name, "Hiroshige I, also known as Ando Hiroshige or Utagawa Hiroshige." The print's oban size and intricate details are a testament to the artistic school's dedication to capturing the beauty and essence of Japan's geography and cultural heritage during the 19th century. This print is a valuable addition to any collection of Asian art, showcasing the rich history and artistic traditions of Japan during the Edo period.
