17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This print transports us back to the bustling streets of Cairo in the 1920s. The image captures an Arabian coffee house, a lively hub where locals and visitors alike would gather to enjoy the rich flavors of Egyptian coffee. The scene is filled with activity as people sit comfortably at wooden tables, engaged in animated conversations over their steaming cups of coffee. A waiter gracefully moves through the crowd, skillfully balancing a tray laden with delicate porcelain cups and saucers. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee fills the air, enticing passersby who are tempted to join this vibrant social gathering. In this snapshot of daily life, we catch glimpses of street vendors selling their wares nearby, adding to the colorful tapestry that defines Cairo's cityscape. The architecture surrounding the coffee house showcases elements unique to Egypt's capital city – intricate details adorning buildings that stand as testaments to its rich history. This print is not just a visual delight but also serves as a historical document from Lehnert & Landrock's publication "In the Land of Pharaohs". It offers us a glimpse into an era when Cairo was alive with energy and cultural exchange—a testament to Egypt's enduring allure as both a tourist destination and melting pot for diverse communities. As we admire this piece captured by an unknown creator under Lehnert & Landrock's guidance, we are reminded of how photographs can transport us across time and space—allowing us to experience moments long gone while
