31"x27" (79x69cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 24x20 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 31x27 inches (787x685mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

Amalienborg Square, Copenhagen, 1896
EDITORS COMMENTS
is a captivating oil painting by Danish artist Vilhelm Hammershøi, showcasing the stunning architecture of Amalienborg Square in Copenhagen, Denmark, during the late 19th century. The painting, a masterpiece of the Rococo era, offers a glimpse into the past with its rich color palette and intricate details. Amalienborg Square, located in the heart of Copenhagen, is home to the Royal Danish Palace, a complex of four identical palaces that served as the official residence of the Danish monarchy. The square, adorned with statues and fountains, is a popular tourist destination and a symbol of Danish heritage. Hammershøi masterfully captures the grandeur and elegance of the square, with the palaces' facades bathed in soft, natural light. The artist's use of muted colors and long shadows creates a sense of tranquility and intimacy, inviting the viewer to explore the scene further. The painting is a testament to Hammershøi's exceptional talent as a painter and his ability to capture the essence of a place and time. It is a valuable addition to the collection of the Statens Museum for Kunst (National Gallery of Denmark) in Copenhagen, where it continues to inspire and captivate visitors from around the world. This painting is a reminder of the rich cultural heritage of Denmark and the beauty of its historic buildings, which continue to stand as symbols of Danish pride and identity. The Rococo architecture of Amalienborg Square, as depicted in Hammershøi's painting, is a testament to the artistic and historical significance of Denmark during the 19th century and beyond.
