31"x27" (79x69cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 24x20 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 31x27 inches (787x685mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

ALPINE MOUNTAINEERS, 1954 - Conquering New Heights

EDITORS COMMENTS
. In this photograph captured by Toni Frissell in 1954, we are transported to the breathtaking landscapes of Zermatt, Switzerland. Two intrepid mountain climbers find themselves suspended on the side of a majestic mountain, their figures silhouetted against the dramatic backdrop of snow-covered peaks and rocky terrain. The image exudes a sense of adventure and ambition as these fearless men face the challenges posed by nature's elements. Their determination is palpable; they embody resilience in the face of adversity. The mid-century setting adds an air of nostalgia to this timeless scene, reminding us that mountaineering has long been a pursuit for those seeking personal growth and triumph over obstacles. Frissell's composition skillfully captures both the grandeur and danger inherent in alpine climbing. The rope connecting them serves as a symbol not only for safety but also for trust and teamwork – essential qualities when navigating treacherous paths together. This photograph invites us to reflect on our own aspirations and encourages us to embrace life's challenges with courage and leadership. It reminds us that sometimes it is through testing ourselves against nature's mightiest forces that we discover our true strength. As we gaze at this remarkable print from Granger Art on Demand, let it inspire us to reach new heights – whether literal or metaphorical – as we embark on our own journeys towards self-discovery and accomplishment.
