23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This print captures the hidden beauty of the Richtersveld, a remote and rugged region nestled on the Atlantic coast in South Africa. As one gazes upon this image, they are transported to a place where time seems to stand still. The arid climate and desolate desert plains stretch as far as the eye can see, creating an atmosphere of endurance and resilience. The eroded mountains form a majestic backdrop against the vast expanse of sand, showcasing nature's ability to shape even the harshest terrains into works of art. In this wide-angle view, clouds dance across the sky, adding depth and contrast to the scene. The bend in the Orange (Gariep) River defines both its northern and eastern borders, serving as a lifeline amidst this barren landscape. As one explores further into this UNESCO World Heritage Site, they will encounter roads that wind through valleys and rocky formations. This famous place is not easily accessible but rewards those who venture here with unparalleled natural beauty. With no signs of human presence in sight, this photograph serves as a reminder of our planet's untouched corners. It invites us to appreciate Earth's diverse physical geography while igniting our wanderlust for travel destinations off-the-beaten-path. Dianne Christie has skillfully captured all these elements in her color image which showcases not only her talent but also highlights why Richtersveld National Park holds such significance within South Africa's Northern Cape Province.
