17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

Queen Mary Passengers Embrace the Majestic New York Dawn

EDITORS COMMENTS
. In this photo print, we are transported back to a bygone era as passengers on board the illustrious Cunard White Star liner Queen Mary witness the breathtaking sight of the New York skyline at dawn. The ship gracefully docks in Manhattan, offering its privileged occupants an awe-inspiring view of one of America's most iconic cities. The image captures a moment frozen in time, where male and female passengers stand together on the deck of the vessel, their backs turned towards us. Their anticipation is palpable as they gaze upon a city that holds endless possibilities and promises new beginnings. The towering skyscrapers rise majestically against the backdrop of a soft morning light, casting long shadows over the river below. This archival photograph not only showcases an important historical event but also evokes a sense of wonder and adventure. It reminds us of an era when transatlantic travel was considered glamorous and luxurious – a time when ocean liners were floating palaces that brought people from different continents together. As we admire this remarkable piece by Kurt Hutton, we can't help but be drawn into its timeless beauty. It serves as a testament to human ingenuity and our insatiable desire to explore new horizons. Let it transport you back to 1939, allowing you to experience firsthand what it must have felt like for those fortunate souls who witnessed this magnificent sunrise over New York City from aboard the legendary Queen Mary.
