17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

Behind the Blind
EDITORS COMMENTS
is a captivating oil painting by Spencer Frederick Gore, showcasing his mastery of capturing intimate moments in everyday life. The artist, known for his association with the Camden Town Group and modern traditional British art, transports us to an early twentieth-century bedroom. In this intriguing composition, we find ourselves peering into a dimly lit room through an oval-shaped blind. A young girl sits alone at a dressing bureau, dressed in her nightie. The soft furnishings and decor create an atmosphere of tranquility and introspection. Gore's attention to detail is evident as he skillfully portrays the girl's posture and clothing. The mirror reflects her delicate figure while she remains lost in thought. Through this artwork, we are invited to contemplate the solitude and contemplation that often accompany nighttime rituals. The use of light adds depth to the scene; it softly illuminates the room while casting mysterious shadows on the walls. This play between light and darkness enhances our perception of time passing within this private space. "Behind the Blind" captures a moment frozen in time – one person immersed in their own world amidst quietude. It serves as a reminder of both our shared human experiences and our individual journeys within them. This print from Fine Art Finder allows us to appreciate Gore's artistic brilliance even today, providing a glimpse into early 20th century British artistry that continues to resonate with viewers worldwide.
