17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This print captures the essence of Pierre Auguste Renoir's masterpiece, "La coiffure ou la toilette de la batheuse Drawing a la sanguine et a la chalaie blanche". Created in 1900, this artwork measures 1.45x1.13 meters and is housed in the Musee Picasso in Paris, France. In this piece, Renoir skillfully portrays a young woman engaged in her daily grooming routine. The use of sanguine and white chalk adds depth and texture to the drawing, enhancing its realism. The subject's delicate features are beautifully highlighted by her flowing hairstyle, which serves as an exquisite frame for her face. The artist masterfully captures femininity and beauty through his depiction of the naked woman at her toilette. Her body exudes gracefulness as she prepares herself for a bath by the sea. This scene evokes a sense of tranquility and serenity that transports viewers to another time and place. Renoir's attention to detail is evident in every stroke of his pencil, showcasing his exceptional talent as one of the leading figures of French Impressionism. This photograph perfectly preserves this timeless work of art for all to admire. As we gaze upon this image from Photo Josse, we are reminded not only of Renoir's artistic brilliance but also of our own appreciation for beauty and artistry throughout history.
