17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
The Mill of Brigand and the Ruins of Crozant Castle, Creuse, c. 1900" is a captivating oil painting by Jean Baptiste Armand Guillaumin. This stunning artwork, measuring 33x46 cm, depicts a picturesque scene from the late 19th century in France. In this enchanting landscape, we are transported to the serene countryside of Creuse. The artist skillfully captures the essence of autumn with its vibrant colors and falling leaves. The towering trees stand proudly as silent witnesses to centuries gone by. At the center of attention lies an old mill nestled among rolling hills. Its rustic charm adds character to the composition while hinting at a simpler way of life in days past. Just beyond it stands the majestic ruins of Crozant Castle, evoking a sense of history and mystery. The tranquil river flowing through this idyllic setting completes the picture-perfect scene. Its gentle ripples reflect both nature's beauty and man's ingenuity in harnessing its power for mills like this one. Guillaumin's brushstrokes capture not only what meets the eye but also convey emotions that resonate within us all – nostalgia for times long gone and appreciation for nature's timeless beauty. This exquisite piece exemplifies impressionism, an art movement that sought to capture fleeting moments with loose brushwork and vibrant colors. It serves as a testament to Guillaumin's talent as well as his love for capturing landscapes in their most enchanting form.
