23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This 17th-century oil painting, titled "Group Portrait of a Family" showcases the remarkable talent of Jan or Johannes Hals. The artwork, which is part of a private collection, depicts four individuals and an adorable canine companion in exquisite detail. The baroque art movement is evident in the rich colors and intricate brushwork that bring this family portrait to life. Set against a picturesque landscape, the painting captures the essence of European upper-class society during the 17th century. The composition reveals a mother and father proudly standing alongside their two children – a daughter and son. Their fashionable attire reflects the trends of early 17th-century fashion, showcasing their social status within Dutch society. Notably, an elegant collie dog stands faithfully by their side as if guarding their familial bond. The inclusion of this beloved pet adds warmth and charm to the scene while highlighting the deep connection between humans and animals. Jan or Johannes Hals' masterful technique shines through every stroke on this oil-on-panel masterpiece. Its timeless beauty transcends centuries, allowing viewers to glimpse into a world long gone but forever preserved in art. This print from Bridgeman Images serves as both an aesthetic delight for art enthusiasts and a historical window into 17th-century Netherlands. It celebrates not only artistic brilliance but also the enduring power of family bonds captured on canvas.
