23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This etching by Giovanni Battista Piranesi, titled "View of the Piazza di Spagna" takes us back to the bustling streets of Rome in the 18th century. The artist's meticulous attention to detail allows us to immerse ourselves in this vibrant city scene. The Piazza di Spagna comes alive with activity as people go about their daily lives. Carriages traverse the cobblestone streets, adding a touch of elegance and sophistication to the atmosphere. The famous Spanish Steps gracefully cascade down towards the square, drawing our eyes towards them with their grandeur and beauty. In the center of it all stands the Fontana della Barcaccia, an exquisite fountain that adds a sense of tranquility amidst the hustle and bustle. Its flowing water creates a soothing soundtrack for those who take a moment to rest on its steps. Dominating one side of the piazza is Santissima Trinità dei Monti church, its stunning architecture standing tall against Rome's skyline. This baroque masterpiece serves as a reminder of Italy's rich cultural heritage. Piranesi captures not only architectural splendor but also everyday life in this remarkable print from his Views of Rome series. It transports us back in time, allowing us to witness history unfold before our eyes. As we gaze upon this artwork, we can't help but feel grateful for these glimpses into another era and appreciate how art has preserved these moments for future generations to admire.
