17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
In this engraving titled "The Wandering Heir" we are transported to a moment of intense conflict and confrontation. The scene is set in a dimly lit room, with a large window providing the only source of light. A fool lies sprawled on the floor, seemingly possessed by fear or confusion, as two figures engage in a fierce battle. On one side stands the wandering heir, his sword parrying blows from his opponent with skillful precision. His face reflects determination and resolve as he fights for what is rightfully his. On the other side stands a formidable guard, observing every move with an unwavering gaze. Whispers fill the air as moments hang in suspense. The clash between these two forces seems inevitable; their eyes locked in a deadly stare-down. Each strike could be fatal; each cry filled with desperation. Amidst this chaos, another figure emerges - a meddler named James - caught between loyalty and self-interest. A mulatto woman named Christina watches anxiously from afar, her fate intertwined with that of these battling souls. As we witness this fight against injustice unfold before our eyes, it becomes clear that more than just physical blows are being exchanged here. This is not merely a battle for power or possessions but also for honor and justice. Through William Small's masterful engraving technique, we are drawn into this gripping tale penned by Charles Reade himself. It serves as both an observation of human nature and an exploration of societal conflicts that transcend time and
