17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

A Midnight Trip by Road to Brighton
EDITORS COMMENTS
is a captivating engraving that takes us back in time to the late 19th century. The artwork, created by Alfred Chantrey Corbould, showcases a scene filled with excitement and adventure. In this print, we witness the enchanting journey of a group of individuals traveling from London to Brighton during the midnight hours. As they make their way through the darkened roads, their trusty companion - the New Parcel Post Van - accompanies them on this daring expedition. The image captures a moment of refreshment as weary travelers take a break under the shade of ware trees. They recount tales of narrow escapes and share laughter while enjoying some much-needed rest before continuing their homeward bound voyage. The presence of postal vans adds an element of surprise and intrigue to the scene. Astonished faces observe as loading takes place at each depot along the road, ensuring efficient mail delivery even during these nocturnal hours. As dawn approaches, our artists find solace in peaceful slumber aboard their carriage. The last lamp flickers gently as they nap away, dreaming about future artistic endeavors awaiting them in Brighton's vibrant art community. This remarkable artwork not only transports us through time but also reminds us of how transportation has evolved over centuries. It serves as a testament to human ingenuity and our constant quest for progress while preserving moments frozen in time within its intricate details.
