31"x27" (79x69cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 24x20 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 31x27 inches (787x685mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

Green Bonnet; Grune Haube, 1911
EDITORS COMMENTS
is a captivating oil painting by Alexej von Jawlensky that showcases the artist's mastery of color and portraiture. In this close-up portrait style, we are drawn into the contemplative gaze of a young woman wearing a vibrant green bonnet. Jawlensky's use of bold and contrasting colors, such as the striking blue eyes against the green background, adds depth and intensity to the artwork. The woman's expression reveals a sense of aversion or thoughtful contemplation, inviting viewers to ponder her inner world. The artist's attention to detail is evident in every brushstroke, capturing not only the fine texture of her garment but also conveying emotion through facial features. This early 20th-century piece reflects Jawlensky's unique style within modern art. The composition focuses on the quarter length bust of this solitary figure turned away from us, creating an air of mystery and intrigue. The bright colors add vibrancy to an otherwise pensive atmosphere. Displayed indoors in a private collection, "Green Bonnet; Grune Haube" stands as a testament to Jawlensky's talent for capturing human emotions through his distinctive artistic approach. This colorful and thought-provoking portrait invites viewers into an intimate moment with its subject while showcasing Jawlensky’s contribution to early 20th-century expressionist art.
