17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

Confrontation between a man and a bear on a narrow mountain ledge
EDITORS COMMENTS
. This color lithograph, created by William Luker in the early twentieth century, depicts an intense face-to-face encounter between a brave man and a formidable bear. The scene is set on a treacherous mountain ledge, adding an element of danger to the already tense confrontation. Taken from "The Wonder Book of the Wild" this illustration showcases the thrilling adventure of exploration and big game stalking. Luker's masterful use of colors brings life to both the majestic beauty of the mountains and the raw power exuded by these two opposing forces. In this heart-stopping moment frozen in time, we witness not only nature's untamed magnificence but also humanity's resilience in facing such perilous situations. Armed with his trusty hunting rifle, our protagonist stands his ground against one of nature's most fearsome creatures. The image serves as a reminder that even amidst great risk and uncertainty, humans possess an indomitable spirit that drives them to confront their fears head-on. It symbolizes bravery, determination, and respect for wildlife. As we gaze upon this artwork captured within its frame, we are transported into an era where man ventured into uncharted territories seeking thrills and conquests. It reminds us that there is still much wonder left to explore in our world – both within ourselves and among nature's grandeur.
