23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
In the heart of Samburu National Reserve in Kenya, the savannah stretches out in a breathtaking expanse of golden grasses and acacia trees. Amidst this vast wilderness, a small yet determined figure stands atop a mound, surveying the landscape with unwavering focus. This is a dwarf mongoose, Helogale parvula, a member of the carnivora family and one of the smallest members of the mongoose family. The dwarf mongoose's fur is a rich, golden-brown, blending seamlessly with the surrounding grasses. Its small, pointed snout and alert, beady eyes betray its predatory nature, while its slender body is poised for action. The dwarf mongoose is a solitary creature, known for its agility and quick reflexes, making it a formidable hunter in the African wilderness. As the sun beats down on the savannah, the dwarf mongoose remains undeterred, scanning the horizon for signs of prey. Its keen senses, including its acute sense of smell and hearing, allow it to detect even the slightest movements in the grass. With a flick of its bushy tail, it signals its readiness to pounce, ready to take on the challenges of the day. The serene beauty of the African wilderness is captured perfectly in this portrait by wildlife photographer Sergio Pitamitz. The selective focus on the dwarf mongoose draws the viewer's attention to the intricacies of this remarkable creature, while the vast savannah behind it serves as a reminder of the vast and diverse ecosystems that make up the African wilderness. This image is a testament to the power and resilience of nature, and the importance of preserving these precious habitats for future generations.
