23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
In this photograph, two legendary figures of Brighton and Hove Albion Football Club, Matt Hicks and Ken Barnard, are seen sharing a moment of camaraderie on the pitch. Taken during the 1970s, a time when the Seagulls were making history in the lower leagues, this image encapsulates the spirit of determination and unity that defined the team during that era. Matt Hicks, the tall and powerful center forward, is seen here in his iconic number 9 jersey, with a focused expression on his face as he prepares to receive the ball. His impressive physique and imposing presence on the field made him a formidable force for opposition defenders, and his goalscoring prowess was instrumental in Brighton's success during the 1970s. Standing next to Hicks is Ken Barnard, the team's experienced and versatile midfielder. With a calm and composed demeanor, Barnard is seen in the midst of orchestrating the team's attacks, his eyes fixed on the ball as he surveys the pitch for an opening. A key figure in Brighton's midfield, Barnard's vision, passing ability, and tactical intelligence were crucial in linking the team's defense and attack. The bond between Hicks and Barnard was a vital one, both on and off the field. Their mutual respect and understanding of each other's strengths and weaknesses allowed them to form a formidable partnership that helped propel Brighton to new heights. This photograph serves as a testament to their enduring friendship and the unforgettable moments they shared during their time at the Albion. As the sun sets on the pitch, casting long shadows across the grass, Hicks and Barnard stand together, united in their pursuit of victory for their beloved club. This image not only captures the essence of their individual brilliance but also the team spirit and resilience that defined Brighton and Hove Albion during the 1970s.
