Sunset View of Granite Island From the Horse-Drawn Tramway Causeway, Victor Harbor, South Australia, Australia
Granite Island, also known by the Ramindjeri people as Nulcoowarra, is a small island next to Victor Harbor, South Australia. The tramway links the visitor information centre in downtown Victor Harbor with the nearby Granite Island, running for half of its route over a 630 metres (2, 070 ft) viaduct or pier, locally described as a causeway. It is one of the very few horse-drawn tram routes remaining in public transit service anywhere in the world, and provides service every day throughout the year

23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This print by Artie Photography showcases the breathtaking sunset view of Granite Island from the horse-drawn tramway causeway in Victor Harbor, South Australia. Known as Nulcoowarra to the Ramindjeri people, this small island is a popular tourist attraction and can be accessed via the historic tramway that connects downtown Victor Harbor with Granite Island. The tramway route spans over a magnificent 630-meter viaduct or pier, locally referred to as a causeway. This unique mode of transportation is one of the few remaining horse-drawn trams still in operation worldwide, providing daily service throughout the year. As you traverse this picturesque path, you are treated to stunning views of both natural and man-made wonders. The photo captures not only the historical significance of this engineering marvel but also highlights its harmonious integration with nature. The wooden structures stand proudly against an enchanting skyline adorned with vibrant clouds at dusk. The coastal landscapes surrounding Granite Island add to its allure, with pristine beaches and rocky cliffs creating a mesmerizing backdrop. As your gaze extends towards the horizon, you are greeted by the vast expanse of ocean stretching into infinity. The tranquil bay waters reflect hues of orange and pink from the setting sun while vegetation thrives along the pathway's edge. Artie Ng's photography beautifully encapsulates all these elements – history, nature, and serenity – making it an exquisite addition to any collection celebrating Australian landscapes and travel destinations.
