23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This print captures a mesmerizing view of Padua, with the magnificent Sant'Antonio Basilica majestically standing in the background. Taken around 1935, this photograph showcases the timeless beauty of this Italian city. The focal point of the image is undoubtedly the Sant'Antonio Basilica, an architectural masterpiece that dominates the skyline. Its intricate details and towering spires are truly awe-inspiring, reflecting centuries of Christian history and devotion. The basilica's presence adds a sense of grandeur to the entire scene. In contrast to the imposing structure behind it, Padua's Piazza Vittorio Emanuele comes alive with bustling activity. The square teems with people going about their daily lives - strolling along its paths or sitting on benches enjoying moments of respite. The urban landscape is dotted with automobiles and bicycles, showcasing different methods of transportation during that era. The street scene exudes an air of liveliness as pedestrians go about their business while others leisurely explore what this vibrant city has to offer. It provides a glimpse into everyday life in Padua during this time period – a snapshot frozen in time. As we delve deeper into this photograph, our eyes wander down avenues lined with buildings that house shops and residences alike. Each structure tells its own story through unique architecture styles – some traditional and others more modern for their time. This print by an unidentified author not only captures a breathtaking view but also serves as a reminder of how cities evolve over time while still retaining elements from their pasts. It invites us to appreciate both historical landmarks like Sant'Antonio Basilica and the ever-changing nature of urban landscapes.
