17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This photograph captures the exquisite statue of San Gennaro, created by the talented artist Giuliano Finelli. The statue is located in the Cappella di San Gennaro within the grand cathedral of Naples, Italy. Standing tall and majestic, this Baroque masterpiece showcases intricate details that epitomize both Renaissance and Baroque styles. Crafted between 1616 and 1657, it represents a significant period in European art history. San Gennaro's gesture exudes a sense of communication as he holds an instrument, perhaps symbolizing his role as a messenger of faith. His benediction hand gesture conveys blessings to all who come before him. The allegorical nature of this artwork is evident through its abstract concepts and symbols. As a male figure dressed in religious attire, San Gennaro embodies saintliness and devotion to the Christian religion. He personifies strength and wisdom befitting his status as a bishop. The clothing worn by San Gennaro reflects the fashion trends of the time when this sculpture was created - mantles cloaks draped over his shoulders with meticulous attention to detail. Finelli's skillful craftsmanship brings life to this religious iconography from centuries past. Through this photograph taken around 1920-1930 by Alinari Fratelli, we are transported back in time to witness the beauty and reverence evoked by such masterpieces. As we gaze upon this print today, we can appreciate not only its artistic value but also its historical significance spanning multiple periods throughout Europe's first and second millenniums AD. It serves as a reminder of our rich cultural heritage while inspiring awe for those who encounter it within Naples Cathedral's sacred walls.
