23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
In the heart of the Arctic Circle, where the Northern Lights dance across the sky and the sun barely sets during the summer months, lies the breathtaking Lofoten Islands of Norway. This serene photograph captures the essence of the region's rich fishing heritage, as a traditional Lofoten fishing boat, known as a "rorbu," sails along the crystal-clear waters. The rorbu, with its distinctive red paint and triangular sails, has been a staple of the Lofoten Islands for centuries. These boats were originally designed to withstand the harsh Arctic climate and provide shelter for fishermen during their long stints at sea. Today, they serve as a symbol of the region's proud maritime history and continue to be used for both commercial and recreational fishing. The photo print, taken by Dan Mirica, showcases the rorbu's timeless beauty as it cuts through the water, surrounded by the rugged cliffs and dramatic landscapes that define the Lofoten Islands. The vibrant colors of the boat stand out against the muted tones of the sea and sky, creating a striking contrast that captures the imagination. As the sun sets on another day in the Lofoten Islands, the fishermen on board the rorbu cast their lines into the water, hoping to catch the elusive cod that have made this region famous. The peace and tranquility of the scene are a testament to the enduring allure of the sea and the simple pleasures of life. This photograph is a must-have for anyone who appreciates the beauty of nature and the rich cultural traditions that have shaped the world around us.
