Poster Prints are of comparable archival quality to our Photographic prints, they are simply printed on thinner Poster Paper. Whilst we only use Photographic Prints in our frames, you can frame Poster Prints if they are carefully supported to prevent sagging over time.

Poster prints are budget friendly enlarged prints in standard poster paper sizes (A0, A1, A2, A3 etc). EDITORS COMMENTS
This hand-colored lithograph showcases two New World monkey species, the Pithecia sp. saki monkey and the Pithecia leucocephala, or white-headed saki. The image is derived from a drawing by the renowned English artist and scientist, Benjamin Waterhouse Hawkins (1807-1889). Hawkins was a leading figure in the development of prehistoric animal reconstructions, and his expertise in anatomy is evident in the intricate details of these primates' fur, facial features, and posture. The saki monkey, depicted on the left, is a medium-sized New World monkey with long, bushy fur and a prehensile tail. Its face is adorned with a dark mask, contrasting sharply with its light-colored fur. The white-headed saki, on the right, is easily distinguished by its striking white fur on the head and shoulders, which provides excellent camouflage in the forest canopy. Both species are arboreal, meaning they live primarily in trees, and are agile climbers, using their long, grasping hands and tails to navigate through the forest. The lithograph, produced during the 19th century, showcases the exquisite detail and artistry of the time. The fur texture is rendered in delicate strokes, and the monkeys' expressions convey a sense of curiosity and playfulness. The overall effect is a visually stunning representation of these fascinating New World primates, which continue to captivate researchers and nature enthusiasts alike.
