Created around the year 1400, this masterpiece is a remarkable example of panel painting during that era. The artwork, measuring approximately 23 1/2 x 17 inches (597 x 432 cm), was created using oil and egg tempera on plywood transferred wood. Part of a larger altarpiece located in Neustädter Marienkirche in Bielefeld, Westphalia, this particular panel forms part of an extensive narrative cycle consisting of thirty scenes.
