Poster Prints are of comparable archival quality to our Photographic prints, they are simply printed on thinner Poster Paper. EDITORS COMMENTS
This print by Ralph Lee Hopkins captures the essence of a Bornean orangutan, Pongo pygmaeus, as it gracefully swings from adjacent tree trunks in the lush forests of Borneo. The endangered species is showcased in its natural habitat at Camp Leakey, an UNESCO World Heritage Site located in Indonesia. In this mesmerizing image taken outdoors during daylight hours, we witness the rare and endangered primate showcasing its remarkable animal behavior. With Southeast Asia's scenic landscapes serving as a backdrop, the orangutan effortlessly moves through the trees with agility and precision. The photograph beautifully portrays one of nature's most fascinating creatures - an ape that holds on to life amidst threatened circumstances. Its full-length portrait showcases every detail of its majestic presence while highlighting its unique characteristics. Set against a colorful background of towering trees within Tanjung Puting National Park, this image serves as a reminder of the importance of preserving our world heritage sites for future generations. It encapsulates both the beauty and vulnerability of wildlife found in these pristine environments. Hopkins' photography skillfully captures not only the physicality but also the spirit and soul behind these magnificent animals. This print is more than just an artistic representation; it symbolizes our responsibility to protect and conserve these extraordinary creatures that call Borneo home.
