Burning of the Kent, c1893, (1911). The Kent, an East Indiaman, owned by the British East India Company, launched in 1820. The Kent left the Downs on 19th February 1825 with 641 people on board. Owned by the British East India Company and launched in 1820, the vessel embarked on its journey from The Downs on February 19th, carrying a total of 641 individuals.
