Putting on the style, with their best feet forward are women clog dancers demonstrating
Putting on the style, with their best feet forward are women clog dancers demonstrating their skills in the Pump Room Gardens, Leamington. The White Horse Cloggies, from Leamington, were among the dancers who entertained a large crowd at the 14th annual festival organised by the Milverton Folk Dance Group. The group affiliated to the English Folk Dance and Song Society, were joined at the highly successful festival by dancers and solo performers from a wide area. These included the King Henry VIII School Mummers (Coventry), who presented " St George and the Dragon, " the Adderbury Morris Men (Oxford), the Wayfarers Folk Dance Club (Birmingham) and the Lillington Folk Dance Group. There was also a contribution from the Leamington branch of the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society, and a solo performance of Scottish dancing by Wendy Shakespeare. The festival concluded with a dance at Leamington College For Girls.
