The White Mullein, depicted on the left, is characterized by its tall, erect stalk, which can grow up to 6 feet high, and its velvety, oval leaves. The plant is covered in soft, white hairs, giving it a fuzzy appearance. The inflorescence is a large, terminal, conical spike of yellow flowers.
