Ben Hur, a play by William Young, after the novel by Lew Wallace (1880). First produced in England at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, London, April 1902. This depiction is based on the famous poster after Alexander von Wagners painting, The Chariot Race, but with Klaw & Erlangers Stupendous Production replaced by Mr George Dances Co. Touring to the New Theatre Royal, Portsmouth, March 1913(?). Date: circa 1913
