Hydrogen cars engine
MODEL RELEASED. Hydrogen car. Technician adjusting a cutaway engine from a low-emission BMW hydrogen car. This engine has been altered to burn hydrogen. Although nitrogen oxides are formed during the combustion, and carbon monoxide is created from the vaporization of lubricants, the main product is water. To keep the hydrogen as a liquid it is stored at -253 degrees Celsius by the 70 insulating sheets of aluminium and fibreglass in the fuel tank. Photographed in Germany

EDITORS COMMENTS
This print captures a hydrogen car engine in all its innovative glory. The skilled technician, working on a cutaway engine from a low-emission BMW hydrogen car, is seen meticulously adjusting the components. This particular engine has been ingeniously modified to burn hydrogen as fuel, paving the way for cleaner and more sustainable transportation. While nitrogen oxides are inevitably formed during combustion and carbon monoxide is released through lubricant vaporization, the primary byproduct of this groundbreaking technology is water. To maintain hydrogen in its liquid state, an impressive 70 insulating sheets made of aluminum and fiberglass encase the fuel tank, keeping it at an astonishingly cold temperature of -253 degrees Celsius. Photographed in Germany, this image showcases not only German engineering prowess but also highlights their commitment to environmental preservation. Hydrogen-powered vehicles represent a significant step forward in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and combating climate change. The dedicated engineer featured here exemplifies the passion driving advancements in environmentally friendly transport industries worldwide. As we witness this remarkable fusion of science and automotive ingenuity unfold before our eyes, it becomes evident that these developments hold immense potential for revolutionizing how we power our vehicles sustainably.
