Take it steady... Wayne Nield tried his hand and the sand dip
Take it steady... Wayne Nield tried his hand and the sand dip, which was one of the attractions in a charity carnival at a local pub. The car park at the Clothiers Arms, Stocksmoor, was packed for the event, organised by landlady Mrs Lynda Briggs. She hopes hundreds of pounds will have been raised to help the Examiners appeal and Guide Dogs for the Blind. Other events included a tug-o -war between local pubs, a disco, a display by Holmfirth Golden Girl Majorettes, a watersplash and numerous sideshows. 30th August 1987
