The Queens Crown

The crown made for Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother, on the coronation of King George VI when she was Queen Consort. The crown was made by Messrs. Garrard, and mounted in platinum. The foundation is a circlet used by Queen Victoria for court functions, and the Koh-i-Noor diamond is set in the front cross-pate springing from it. A drop-brilliant from the Treasury of Lahore, presented to Queen Victoria by the East India Company, is set in the top cross-pate.
