In this vintage print from April 1979, we see Scotland's Communist prospective parliamentary candidates gathered in Glasgow. Among them is Raymond Mennie, who appears slightly disgruntled as he holds a poster with his name misspelt as "Meanie." Despite the error, Mennie stands proudly alongside his fellow candidates - Jimmy Sneddon, Alex Maxwell, Carol Downes, David McDowell, Sam Barr, Danny McCafferty, June Tait, John Kay and Bill.
