This stunning chromolithograph print showcases two beloved edible mushroom varieties: the Prince mushroom (Agaricus augustus, also known as Psalliota augusta) and the Field mushroom (Agaricus campestris, or Psalliota campestris). The image, created by the skilled hands of A. Bessin and beautifully rendered by Lassus, is taken from Leon Rolland's seminal mycological guide, "Atlas des Champignons," published by Paul Klincksieck in Paris in 1910.
