This print from the Liszt Collection showcases an exquisite Antique Ewer Handle Shape with Two Snakes coming out of its head. The intricate details of this piece truly make it a work of art. Dating back to the 16th century, this antique ewer is believed to have been crafted between 1543 and 1573. Engraved by Enea Vico, an Italian artist from Parma who lived from 1523 to 1567, this second edition image has been beautifully preserved. The dimensions of this print are approximately 10 9/16 x 7 11/16 inches (26.8 x19.5 cm), cropped within the plate mark on both sides. The ewer itself features a unique handle in the shape of two intricately designed snakes that emerge from its head, reminiscent of Medusa's serpentine locks. The body of the ewer is divided into three friezes: an upper frieze adorned with masks and a bulbous middle frieze depicting a scene of battle among sea gods. This remarkable piece captures the essence of ancient craftsmanship and serves as a testament to the artistic talent prevalent during that era.
