As part of their City and Guilds Recreation and Leisure Course, these sixteen students were fortunate enough to gain valuable coaching experience while organizing a fun-filled sports afternoon for the children. The gymnasium serves as the backdrop for this heartwarming scene, where the passion for physical education shines through. Under the guidance of course tutor Mrs. Joan Welshaw, these aspiring coaches meticulously planned various activities not only for schools but also community groups in the area. This snapshot perfectly captures an era when teaching sports was more than just a job; it was an opportunity to inspire young minds and foster a love for physical activity.
