Nicholas II, the last Emperor of Russia, ruled during a tumultuous period in history. His reign was marked by significant events and influential figures such as Grigori Yefimovich Rasputin, whose influence on the royal family would have far-reaching consequences. In 1909, Nicholas II was photographed alongside George V, the Prince of Wales at the time. This image captured a moment of camaraderie between two powerful leaders. As tensions grew within Russia leading up to World War I, Tsar Nicholas II found himself facing increasing opposition resulting in exile to Tobolsk, Siberia in August 1917.
