Opponents of the proposed re-opening of a granite quarry marched between Lanlivery and Luxulyan armed with a 40 foot banner Luxulyan Valley say no quarry and led by a Cornish bagpiper. Members of the Countryside Conservation group, set up to fight the quarry proposal, planted a rowan tree on land that will be affected if Cornwall County Council planners give the go ahead to the scheme. Biodegradable and made with non-chlorinated gases (no toxic fumes) it is efficient; producing 100 tons of polystyrene can save 300 tons of trees! Prints are glazed with lightweight, shatterproof, optical clarity acrylic (providing the same general protection from the environment as glass). The back is stapled hardboard with a sawtooth hanger attached. Note: measurements provided are estimated outer dimensions, which include both the image and the frame.
