Framed Prints From National Railway Museum
Framed Print of Southport, Englands Seaside Garden City, LMS poster, 1923-1947
London Midland and Scottish Railway poster. Artwork bys J Lamorna Birch (1869-1955). Birch was born in Cheshire, and sought industrial design work at the Lancashire cotton mills. He was self taught except for a period at the Atelier Colarossi, Paris, in 1895. He took the name Lamorna from the Cornish village to distinguish himself from another painter called Birch who, like himself, was working at Newlyn. Birch exhibited at the Fine Art Society from 1906 and at the Royal Society. National Railway Museum is the home of iconic locomotives. Our historic prints reflect the age and quality of the original artwork we hold to preserve their artistic character, including authentic colour reproduction, marks and creases. © Please read our licence terms.
