Framed Print of Oliver Reed not wearing his wig at his home in Wimbledon, South West, London

Oliver Reed not wearing his wig at his home in Wimbledon, South West, London. 29th November 1970.
Oliver Reed, at this time, was filming The Devils, a Ken Russell film, where he plays a 17th Century priest unjustly accused of saucery by a group of nuns.
In the film, Reed appears bald, and whilst production is on going, the film company have made him a 200 pound wig
to wear. However, he prefers to face the world bald and so refuses to wear it. He has had his eyebrows, beard and moustache shaved too, for the film being made at Pinewood Studios. The film company have taken out a 250 pound insurance policy because there are fears his eyebrows won t grow back as they were before.
