Dr Cooke, Consultant at Birmingham Maternity Hospital, who has been treating Sheila Thorns, pictured 3rd October 1968. It was reported earlier yesterday that Sheila Thorns from Birmingham underwent a Caesarean section early this morning during which six children - four boys and two girls - were delivered. In what was been hailed as the first recorded case of live sextuplets in Britain. All the babies were placed in incubators after being delivered. Twenty eight medical staff from Birmingham Maternity Hospital were present at the delivery. Three of the Thorns sextuplets survived, July, Susan and Roger, and went on to live healthy lives. © Mirrorpix

Environmentally and ozone friendly, 40mm wide x 15mm Polycore® moulding has the look of real wood, is durable and light and easy to hang.
